The Rajasthan government today decided to launch a two-month-long campaign to settle issues related to regularisation of land in the urban areas from May 10.
The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
This would be the biggest campaign for regularisation of land in the urban areas, which would be held between May 10 and July 10, Parliamentary affairs minister Rajendra Rathore said.
"During the campaign period, camps at several places would be organised in which 23 activities will be carried out, which include providing various relaxations to people on the regularisation of land.
"Also, in the camps, nomadic community people will be allotted 50-yard land free of cost and colonies set up on the agricultural land would be regularised," he said.
Apart from these, the minister said, the residents will be provided relaxation on interest over pending urban development tax.
The cabinet also decided to hold third revenue Lok Adalat from May 8 to June 30.
In the first phase of the campaign in 2015, around 16,000 camps were held across the state in which a total of 21,43,054 issues resolved.
Similarly, a total of 48,48,288 issues were resolved in the 12,387 camps organised in the second phase of the campaign in 2016.
Revenue related pending cases and issues are resolved through mutual consent in these camps.
Rathore said the chief minister in the Budget had announced a campaign for differently-abled, which will be conducted from September this year in all assembly constituencies.
