"Today was the nationwide strike called by the Bar Council of India in protest of lathicharge on lawyers in Jaipur and Chandigarh few days back though we were on the strike since March 6.
"Today we performed 'yagnas' for good sense to police," Rajkumar Sharma, a representative of the advocates' Sangharsh Samiti-Jaipur, said.
Lawyers in other districts also boycotted work in support of the advocates.
"Police used force on us when we were peacefully pressing our demands near the Assembly which left over 30 advocates injured on March 6.
Police sources said the stir was peaceful and there were no reports of clashes or untoward incidents in the state.
