Rajasthan budget session to begin tomorrow

The budget session of Rajasthan Assembly is beginning tomorrow with opposition Congress all prepared to raise issues of educational criteria in Panchayati Raj polls, hike in power tariff, fuel prices, and withdrawal of subsidy on LPG cylinder.
First day would be devoted to obituary references and tabling of some notifications and orders, an official of the state Assembly said.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje held a meeting of BJP legislators to prepare defense to the Opposition Congress' questions and objections at her residence, PA of chief whip K L Gurjar told PTI.
Business Advisory Committee will decide the agenda of Assembly sittings after the beginning of the session tomorrow.
Increase in VAT on petrol and diesel, withdrawal of Rs 25 subsidy on domestic LPG cylinders, and putting educational criteria in Panchayati Raj polls held in January, power tariff hike, non-creation of jobs, and deteriorating law and order situation would be the main issues the Congress would raise during the session, Leader of Opposition in House Rameshwar Dudi has said.
Yesterday after the cabinet meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore has said annual budget for the 2015-16 fiscal year would likely to be presented in second week of March.
Security has been beefed up inside and outside the Assembly premises in view of proposed protests of left parties, Youth Congress and other organisations, a senior cop of police commissionerate said.
