Rays Power to set up 4MW rooftop solar capacity for NDMC

Solar power solutions provider Rays Power Experts today said it has bagged a contract from the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) to set up 4 MW of solar rooftop capacity in the municipal area.
The company has also signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with the civic body to supply electricity to it, a release issued here said.
With this project, the company expects to install solar power panels across 50,000 square meters of roofs in Delhi, falling under the municipal limits.
The scope of the work involves financing, designing, installation and commissioning of the 4 MW capacity by July this year.
"The NCR is a strategic market for us and we are geared to make use of innovative technology and skilled field manpower to execute the project on time and deliver the best to our customers. We are committed to aggressively expand our rooftop solar power business in India," said company's director Rahul Gupta.
He further said the company was expanding its business portfolio and venturing into new verticals like independent solar power parks, solar roof-top models and other such offerings.
Rays Experts currently has a portfolio of 137 MW capacity solar plants, out of which around 92 MW are successfully commissioned, while 45 MW projects are under execution.
