The three helmet-worn assailants barged into the office of Shankar and stabbed him multiple times resulting in his death, sources said.
"We believe the murder may have been carried out due to personal or family dispute. We are investing from that angle", a police official said.
Police said Shankar was mainly into real estate consultancy business pertaining preparing construction design and plan and had in the last couple of years diversified into property broking business.
