The incident took place in Tardeo police colony here at 10 AM, police said, adding that three women and a man were injured in the incident.
The injured were identified as Sunita Pokhre, Neeta Surti, Dularibai Pardeshi and Mukesh Chaudhari. They were discharged after treatment. Following a complaint by Chaudhari, police investigated into the matter.
According to them, the jeep belonged to the friend of his father. Before the boy started the vehicle, it was already in the first gear and one of the tyres was also punctured. Just as he started the jeep, it gave a jerk and injured the persons.
The minor had been booked under an IPC section and relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. He was produced before a juvenile court.
