Redmayne, Cumberbatch, Pike, Moore react to Oscar nods

British stars Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch were euphoric to get nominated in the best actor category at the 87th Academy Awards.
Redmayne has been nominated for playing physicist Stepehen Hawking suffering from motor neurone disease in 'The Theory of Everything' and said he was feeling '100mph euphoria'.
"Oh my god, do you know what? It's all a bit too much to take in at 5 or 6 in the morning here. I've just gone from a deep, deep sleep to a 100mph euphoria in about three seconds, so I'm trying to take it all in, but it's extraordinary," Redmayne told NBC's Today show.

He is competing against fellow nominees Steve Carell (Foxcatcher), Bradley Cooper (American Sniper), Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) and Michael Keaton (Birdman).
Cumberbatch told Deadline: "I am knocked for six by this. So excited and honoured to receive this recognition. To ring my parents who are both actors and tell them that their only son has been nominated for an Oscar is one of the proudest moments of my life."
"I am in shock. It was really unexpected," said Cotillard about her dark horse best actress nod for the Belgian film 'Two Days, One Night'.

Julianne Moore, who is vying for the best actress trophy along with Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), Reese Witherspoon (Wild) besides Cotillard, tweeted happily.

"Thank you everyone for the congratulations! I am so happy I can barely breathe," tweeted Moore, who recently won the best actress- drama trophy at the Golden Globes.
New mother Pike said she was awakened in the UK "for the first time by someone who wasn't my baby, wanting food."
Emma Stone, who has been nominated in the best supporting actress category alongside Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), Laura Dern (Wild), Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game) and Meryl Streep (Into the Woods), called her supporting nod for 'Birdman' as surreal.
"Well, this is surreal. I am completely knocked out. Thank you to the Academy for this incredible honour. I am very proud and lucky to be a part of Birdman and can't believe it came to this," Stone said.

Fellow nominee Knightley and Dern also shared their excitement with the nod.
"I feel so grateful to the Academy for this gorgeous honor," Dern said.
Knightley added, "What an exciting morning! I am so honoured and grateful for this nomination and to be in the company of such talented and inspiring actresses."
JK Simmons (Whiplash) and Edward Norton (Birdman), who have bagged a nod each in th best supporting actor category along with Robert Duvall (The Judge), Ethan Hawke (Boyhood) and Mark Ruffalo (Foxcatcher) reacted to their nominations.
"It is interesting, my wife calls it the Whiplash effect. There have been offers for big movies to indie films and I am trying to juggle the best I can. This is cool, this is fun," Simmons said.

Norton said, "I can't think of a year in which more of my good friends and close collaborators have been celebrated together like this. It's a very nice feeling."
Neil Patrick Harris will host this year's Oscars ceremony from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on February 22.
