Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial held steady in the absence of any major buying.
In the futures market, castorseeds traded with high speculative movements and edged down following reduced export enquiries.
In the edible section, refined palmolein gained by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 514 from Monday's closing level of Rs 512. However, groundnut oil edged-down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,215 from Rs 1,220 previously.
Turning to futures, castorseeds March contract resumed lower at Rs 3,757, but later shot up to Rs 3,802 before closing at Rs 3,774 from Rs 3,777 previously, showing a mere loss of Rs 3 per tonne.
