The total voters strength in the entire Union Territory at the end of special summary revision of electoral rolls is 9,08,821.
The region wise break up is that Puducherry has a total strength of 6,94,564 voters while Karaikal has a strength of 1,50,755 voters, a release from the Chief Electoral Officer T Sreekanth said.
Mahe and Yanam each have a strength of 28,666 and 34,836 voters respectively.
The Union Territory has registered a 1.35 percent rise in voters strength now. The electorate strength prior to special summary revision was 8,96,636. The summary revision was held between October 15 and November 10, 2014. The revision has been made keeping January 1, 2015 as the qualifying date as per instructions of the Election Commission, the release said.
