Chaman Lal Nijhawan (70), who had been residing alone in the house for last some years, was found dead in his bedroom this morning by domestic help Sushila, they said.
The motive behind the crime was yet to be ascertained, a senior police official said, adding the body has strangulation marks on the neck.
The body has been taken to PGIMS for postmortem, he said.
Nijhawan's son Vikas, who resided in Faridabad, told police that no costly item was missing from the house.
