Revenue Department official arrested for accepting bribe

Mohammad Altaf Khan, who was a Patwari for Zewan area, was arrested for demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 5,000 yesterday, an official spokesman said.

A complaint had been lodged by Gulzar Ahmad Bhat of Zewan Bala alleging that Khan was demanding bribe from him to issue revenue extracts.
