Revenue dept employee held on graft charges

A Revenue department employee was today arrested for allegedly taking bribe of Rs.2000 from a farmer for giving him a true copy of the document of his land, police said.
Police said Anthony samy, an employee of the True copy wing of the revenue department, had asked Paramasivam for the money following which a complaint was lodged with the Vigilance and Anti-corruption police.
On instructions, chemically treated notes were given and police caught the employee red-handed and arrested him in the office premises, police added.
