The pair who co-own their the Bedford Post, are no longer working together.
Gere, 65, and Lowell, alongside developer Russell Hernandez, opened the inn, restaurant and yoga studio in 2009.
Chef Michael White, who has been managing the food service since March, apparently only mentioned Gere's name as the owner of the Bedford Post when announcing the opening of Italian eatery Campagna earlier this week.
Gere's camp has not responded to request for comment.
The 'Time Out of Mind' star and Lowell, who have been married for 11 years and share a son named Homer, divorced in late October.
