In comments aimed at sparking a row, a top leader of a Hindu right-wing outfit today said that India belonged to Hindus and any church built forcibly should be converted into a temple.
Speaking to supporters at Safidon here, Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha national president Sadhvi Deva Thakur said that if a church is constructed forcibly anywhere in India, they should be turned into temples.
"Christians are guests in India and should act like guests. Where Hidus are in the majority, the Christians should stop making churches," she said.
