"I would like to play different kind of roles. I would like to do fiction on TV. I do not want to typecast myself in one particular genre," Riya told PTI.
Riya is currently seen on Star Plus's show 'Mahabharat', where she is playing the character of Gandhari, the wife of King Dhritarashtra.
The actress said playing the legendary blindfolded character in the mythological show has been an exciting experience for her because she is playing a character that is mature beyond her age.
Riya began her acting career with theatre but has found her groove on TV now.
