She also said that a memorial would be constructed at Mysore Garden in front of the crematorium at Keoratala where she was cremated.
In a Facebook post, Banerjee said, "I am personally very touched. We were very hopeful that she would recover from her illness and go back home soon. Doctors and hospital staff did their best. People prayed so much. But finally, the end came."
However, her immortal roles in movies would be preserved in the hearts, she said.
