Rs 37.5 lakh seized by election officials

The election flying squad Wednesday seized Rs 37.

5 lakh from a car of a private security agency in the city during a vehicle check.

Though the occupants of the car claimed that the cash was being taken to be deposited in an ATM, the money was seized since they did not have any valid supporting documents, police said.

The cash was kept in the treasury and would be handed over to the security agency when they produced the documents, they said.
