Rupee up 18 paise against dollar in early trade

The rupee appreciated by 18 paise to 62.32 against the dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on selling of the US currency by exporters.
Besides, a higher opening in the domestic equity market also supported the rupee.
The rupee had close steady at 62.50 against the dollar yesterday.
Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark Sensex rose by 33.91 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 20,458.93.
