After surrendering before the court of Special Judge D K Mishra, Tinoo pleaded for bail but the judge turned down her application and sent her to judicial custody until May 23.
"Yes, the court has sent her to judicial custody," Tinoo's counsel Pratul Shandilya told PTI after coming out of the court.
"The honourable High Court had asked her to surrender on May 12. We got a copy of the order yesterday and in compliance with the High Court's direction, Tinoo surrendered today," he said.
In fact, this is the second time that Tinoo has surrendered. Before this, she had surrendered before a court here on January 13 after being on the run for more than ten months.
The court had turned down her bail plea which stated that she had to undergo a hysterectomy procedure and sent her to judicial custody.
Arvind is still absconding in the case.
