However, it was indeed painful that Badal and Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who had asked him to sing in the assembly, were now making a "fun" of him, Sadique told reporters here.
Senior-most MLA who had become the Chief Minister for the fifth time had indulged in "ragging of a fresher", he said.
The MLA said he respected Badal a lot and he sang a patriotic song in the House knowing little that he would be "ridiculed" for the same.
Sadique yesterday sang a song during Zero Hour in the House after Badal requested him to do so.
On Majithia's criticism of him over singing of the song, Sadique said "he (Majithia)_knew it was only at Badal's behest I had sung a song in the House."
