The 65-year-old Musliyar, who had been undergoing treatment for heart ailment at a private hospital for some weeks, breathed his last around 2.30 PM, they said.
A native of Kalambadi in Malappuram district, Musliyar had also been serving as state Vice-President of Sunni Yuvajana Sangam.
He was also the Chairman of "Suprabhaatham" Malayalam daily and Iqra publications.
He is survived by wife, three sons and three daughters, they said, adding, the body will be laid to rest at Kalambadi Juma Masjid tomorrow.
