SAP officer, 76 jawans sacked for dereliction of duty

A Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) officer and 76 other jawans have been sacked for dereliction of duty and other charges in Bihar's Munger area, police said today.
SAP Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) Vijay Singh was terminated from service after an inquiry report found him guilty of taking bribe from jawans for sanctioning leave without forwarding applications to senior officials for approval, they sources said.
The sacked officer was posted at Munger camp office.
Service of 76 SAP jawans posted in six districts of Munger zone were also terminated for dereliction of duty.
