Base metals recoup on industrial demand

Base metals prices recouped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist buying amidst heavy demand from industrial users despite lower London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
The industrial metals slipped at the LME, as a strong dollar weighed on the base metals complex, but further falls were capped by growing optimism about the outlook for demand from top consumer China.
Nickel surge by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,040 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,030.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar shot-up by Rs 9 per kg each to Rs 530 and Rs 558 from Rs 521 and Rs 549.

Copper scrap heavy climbed by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 519 from Rs 511. Tin rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,525 from Rs 1,520.
Copper armiture, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and aluminium ingots moved up by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 494, Rs 348, Rs 358 and Rs 127 from Rs 491, Rs 345, Rs 355 and Rs 156, respectively.
Copper utensils scrap and aluminium utensils went up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 467 and Rs 127 from Rs 465 and Rs 125 and Zinc inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 169.
