"A probe has been ordered after getting the report of a two-member committee which found solid evidence in the matter," Indore Collector Aakash Tripathi told PTI here today.
"After getting the probe committee report, the Tribal Welfare Department has been directed police action against the colleges involved," he said, adding that directives have already been issued to recover the scholarship money from the concerned institutions.
Scholarships meant for these students were allegedly pocketed by directors of these institutions in connivance with the concerned officials, they said.
Allegedly, they availed of scholarships in the name of even those who never took admissions in these colleges, by opening fake bank accounts.
