A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, principal secretary, Cabinet Secretariat department, Brajesh Mehrotra told reporters.
At the cabinet meeting, a decision was also taken to link bank accounts of beneficiaries of various subsidies and scholarships so that they could be provided with their entitlements through RTGS/NEFT, Mehrotra said.
He also said that a nod was given for appointment of teachers on an ad hoc basis in secondary schools until regular teaching staff was recruited.
Remuneration will be given to the teachers at the rate of Rs 1,000 per class, he added.
An amount of Rs 25.20 crore was also sanctioned for payment of compensation to Jharkhand in view of a Supreme Court order with regard to the neighbouring state's property rights over Bihar Niwas and Bihar Bhawan at New Delhi, Mehrotra added.
