District collector Krishna Kunal here directed all private and government schools to run school for classes I to VIII only in morning shift between 7 AM and 12 noon from May 1 onwards, owing to extreme hot weather condition in the city.
Strict action will be taken against schools for flouting the order, administration spokesperson said.
Daytime temperature in the city is hovering around 43 to 47 degree Celsius in current spell of summer and students are facing a tough time attending school amid intense heat wave conditions.
