The former California Governor, 66, is seen smoking a cigar while posing with Ford in pilot attire.
"It was a fantastic first day of filming on 'Expendables 3'. Great to work with Harrison and our director, Patrick," he tweeted.
Ford is the newcomer in the action franchise following Bruce Willis departure from the project. Willis was replaced by Stallone for demanding more money.
