Security forces seize explosives & gun powder

The security forces today seized explosives and gun power from the Digri jungle in naxal affected Khunti district, a senior police officer said.
Superintendent of Police Ashwini Kumar Sinha said based on information gathered that CPI (Maoists) have stored large quantity of explosives with an intention to harm security personnel, a joint search operation by the district police and CRPF was launched.
During the search operation the security personnel found 109 pieces of gelatin sticks, 66 pieces of detonators, one kg of gun powder and about six kg of splinters, Sinha said.
