The Section 144 of CrPc will remain in force till September 15.
"Sector 144 has been imposed in district in view of the yatra, and it will continue till September 15," said SVS Ranga Rao, district magistrate, Ghaziabad.
City police have tightened security at railways stations, bus stands and other places in Ghaziabad.
Ghaziabad police have made two makeshift jails in Kavinagar and Modi Nagar area to tackle agitated protesters.
"Around six quick reaction teams have also been formed to tackle any situation in the district. The members of these teams would be equipped with all security equipments, which are often used in dealing with violence," said a senior police officer.
