In the girl's U-13, top seed Tasneem Meer of Gujarat beat Shreya Chittor of Telengana by 15-9 and 15-11, while Avantika Pandey of Uttarakhand defeated Dayna Devi of Manipur by 21-17, 17-21 and 21-12.
Earlier, state deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav formally inaugurated the four-day singles and doubles ranking championship here at the Patliputra Sports Complex Indoor Hall.
State finance minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui, who is the also State Badminton Association president, was present on the occasion.
