"We will oppose the Pakistan team's visit to India. Balasaheb Thackeray had taken this stand that unless and until Pakistan does not stop terror activities emanating from its soil, the party would continue to oppose Pakistan playing cricket in India," senior party leader Manohar Joshi said today.
He said the party workers will hold protests at the respective venues where Pakistan will be playing matches against India though Maharashtra does not figure in their itinerary.
The limited overs series between India and Pakistan will kick off with the first T20 International to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on December 25.
Pakistan will play their second T20 match against India at Ahmedabad on December 27 before heading to Chennai for the first of the three-match ODI series, starting December 30.
The second ODI of the series will be played at Kolkata on January 3, while Delhi host the third and final one-dayer on January 6.
The last time the two neighbouring countries met in a bilateral series was way back in 2007 when Pakistan toured India.
The cricketing ties between the two nations were snapped after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
