Separatist groups today hit out at Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for his statement about eliminating "terrorists by terrorists", claiming that it speaks of the government plans of "target killing."
"The announcement of new phase of government gunmen culture is the beginning of a dangerous plan of target killing by unknown gunmen and it is enough to expose the communal government in New Delhi," a Hurriyat Conference spokesman said.
"Instead of opposing such dangerous plans of the BJP regarding Kashmir, (Chief Minister) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is helping them in this process and for remaining in power he is endangering the future of the state," the spokesman alleged.
Pro-Independence JKLF also hit out at the Defence minister's statement, saying it suppresses Kashmiri freedom struggle.
