"Security is needed for transportation of explosives for blasting to make a tunnel near Manoharpur for laying line," South-Eastern Railway General Manager Radhey Shyam said at a press conference here.
Replying to a query on the progress of railway projects in naxal-affected areas, he said better law and order would speed up works.
"We are getting security (for rail projects) and we are also talking to the state government," he said.
Shyam said CCTVs were placed in 11 stations under SE railways, including Ranchi, under the integrated security system.
"We have also interacted with passengers today to know their suggestions and grievances so that we can provide better services to them...Our endeavour is to constantly improve better services," he said.
