Service tax proposal has not affect lottery in Kerala

Kerala Finance Minister K M Mani today said state government was of the view that lottery trade can not be termed as 'business auxiliary service' attracting service tax.
Mani said this in the assemby to a question in this regard put by members, an official release said.
Service tax issues have not adversely affected the lottery business in the state, Mani said.
State has asked Centre to keep in abeyance the decision to impose service tax on lottery sale till the final verdict of cases under consideration of supreme court, he added.
