Mutual cooperation between India, Pak a big asset: Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the sentiments of mutual cooperation and understanding prevailing in the minds of people on both sides of India and Pakistan border are big assets for the region.
The chief minister expressed his views while interacting with the chief editor of a Pakistani paper 'Daily Mashrat', Sayyad Mumtaaj Shah, here today, an official release said here.
He said there was a lot of similarity between the lifestyles and culture of the people of India and Pakistan and government would try to strengthen the mutual relationship between both the countries.
Khattar reminded that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had taken the initiative to start a bus service between India and Pakistan to put wings to cooperation.
The chief minister also presented a set of four books signed by him in Urdu language to Shah.
These books are Hali Shanasi, Kaifi Azmi-Phan Aur Shakshiyat, Faiz Ka Kalaam and Galib aur Sarjamine Haryana. These have been published by Haryana Urdu Akademi.
Shah requested the chief minister to organise an exhibition showcasing Haryanavi culture and development especially of Gurgaon at Pakistan especially in Jhang area.
On this, the chief minister said such type of cultural mutual exchanges would give impetus to greater interaction between people on both sides.
