Led by Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Council President Harmohinder Singh, over 200 Sikhs today converged at Nanak Nagar Gurdwara in Jammu and raised slogans in protest against the government of Uttar Pradesh over the clashes.
"We condemn Saharanpur's incident, tiff between the two communities is a result of a conspiracy and the culprit behind it should be revealed. We appeal to both the communities to maintain communal peace," Harmohinder told reporters here.
Violent clashes had erupted in Saharanpur amongst two groups reportedly over a patch of disputed land close to the city's railway station.
