Police inspector (Crime) Sanjay Satav of the Narpoli police station told PTI that six people including those arrested have been booked under Sections 3, 7, 8 and 10 of the Essential Commodies Act of 1955 after which offences were registered against them.
The police identified those arrested as Rajendra Purohit (63) and said that the action was taken based on a complaint by the rationing officer of the zone.
Others named in the complaint are Vishwambarnath Bhagat, Aniruddakumar Bhagat, Bharat Kumar Bhagat, Gautam Bhagat and Vishnu Gopaldas Rajgadia.
