The beheaded bodies of three teenagers including two siblings were recovered from Jamabeda jungle under Seraikela police station area in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district, the sources said.
The torsos and the heads were found a little distance away from each other, they said.
The victims were identified as Mohammed Wasim (19), Mohammed Hasan (18) and his brother Mohammed Hussan (19), all residents of Seraikela's Saldih.
The three teenagers had left home for marketing in Gamariah, about 10-12 km from Seraikela last Friday and did not return home, he said.
Bodies of a man, woman and a child were also recovered from Babni jungles in Giridih district, the sources said.
The man Safir was missing for a couple of days ago.
The police also recovered the bodies of a woman and a child, who were yet to be identified, at some distance, they added.
