Soon after landing at Kochi international airport, the baby named Parvati, suffering from some health problem, was taken to the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences here along with her mother, officials said.
The baby and mother have been admitted to the hospital, a hospital spokesman said.
Earlier, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin had tweeted about the baby's rescue and also posted her picture.
The baby and her parents-Raji and Shashi-were brought to Djibouti from Sanaa yesterday by an AI flight.
The Indian authorities in Djibouti sent a doctor Uma Nambiar along with the baby to Kochi.
It was six days ago Raji, a nurse working in a hospital at Amran in Yemen, gave birth to the baby.
A Navy spokesman said they were supposed to be evacuated from Yemen a day before but it did not happen because of the health condition of the baby.
India yesterday wrapped up its air evacuation operations from Yemen rescuing another 630 of its citizens from Sanaa, taking the number of Indians brought home from the war-ravaged country to over 4,640 besides around 960 nationals from 41 countries.
