Six-year-old boy killed by speeding car

A six-year-old boy was killed by a speeding car in Vasundhara colony here today following which the driver of the vehicle was arrested, police said.
Kamal, son of rickshaw puller Shiv Kumar, was hit by a speeding car when he was crossing the road on way to school this morning with his uncle, SHO Indirapuram Gorakh Nath Yadav said.
Kamal died on the spot. The car's driver, Mehtab, was overpowered by his uncle and handed over to the police, the SHO said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, he said, adding an FIR under IPC section 279 (rash driving), 304A (culpable homicide) has been registered and the driver has been sent to jail.
