It had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 11.18 crore in the same period last year, Somany Ceramics told BSE.
The company's total income on a standalone basis also increased 10.62 per cent to Rs 475.28 crore during the January-March quarter against Rs 429.62 crore a year ago.

Its consolidated net sales surged 21.21 per cent to Rs 1,613.35 crore in 2014-15 as against Rs 1,330.95 crore in 2013-14.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Somany Ceramics has told BSE that its board has recommended 100 per cent dividend of Rs 2 per share of Rs 2 each for 2014-15.
Shares of Somany Ceramics were trading at Rs 423 on BSE in afternoon trade, up 3.17 per cent from its previous close.
