Somen, Manas escape unhurt as rally stage caves in

Congress leaders Somen Mitra, Manas Bhunia and Nepal Mahato today escaped unhurt as the stage at a public rally here caved in.
Mitra, Bhunia and Mahato were about to address party supporters at the rally at the Rashmela Maidan when the stage collapsed, but they escaped injury.
It was learnt, that there were around 35-40 people on the dais when the incident happened.
Mitra, who rejoined the Congress last month, delivered his speech from a makeshift stage and held Mamata Banerjee's government responsible for the deteriorating law and order in the state.
