Rawat, along with his few supporters, reached the collectorate and filed his papers.
According to the affidavit filed with his nomination, Rawat has movable and immovable assets of Rs 29.29 crore while his wife Vibha has property of Rs 2.26 crore.
Rawat has three licenced weapons, no criminal case is pending against him. So far Rawat is considered as one of the richest candidates.
On Wednesday, BSP candidate from Ghaziabad Mukul Upadhyay had filed nomination.
Upadhyay, who is younger brother of senior BSP leader and former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Rambir Upadhyay, in his nomination affidavit had claimed to own a property of Rs 2.75 crore while his wife has movable and immovable property of Rs 13.98 crore.
