Maurya along with state BSP president Ram Achal Rajbhar and MP Dara Singh Chauhan met the family members of the former MLA at Narainpur village and paid tributes to Seepu.
The BSP leader alleged that mafias were ruling the roost in SP government and even public representatives were not safe.
He demanded a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the next of kin of those killed in police firing and Rs 5 lakh to the injured.
Seepu and another person were shot dead by unidentified assailants here on July 19 triggering clashes between his supporters and police that left two persons dead and 18 others injured.
