After securing a vital 1-0 away win over Mumbai FC, Sporting Clube de Goa would look to take home advantage when the tweo sides meet each other in the second leg tie of Federation Cup football at Nehru Stadium here tomorrow.
Sumeet Passi's late strike made the difference in the first leg match and having an away goal advantage and playing at home would mean that Sporting Goa are the favourites to progress into the semi-finals.
Sporting head coach Mateus Costa said that despite the advantage his side ill-affords to be complacent.
"It is going to be a close contest against the Mumbai side who will come hard on us to win tomorrow in a do-or-die battle for them. We need to remain extra cautious and keep ourselves focus till the end and put our best foot forward in order to advance to the next round," stated Costa.
Mumbai FC head coach Khalid Jamil was also optimistic about his side doing well tomorrow.
"It is difficult but not impossible and we still have a chance. In the first leg, we got two chances in the second half which we missed and we had to pay the price. Tomorrow we cannot afford to miss chances and I have warned my boys not to repeat the same mistakes. Hopefully they give their best to come out victors," he said.
