Spot demand lifts mentha oil futures by 0.34%

Mentha oil prices were higher by 0.34 per cent to Rs 904.10 per kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions amid pick up in demand from consuming industries at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September edged up by Rs 3.10 or 0.34 per cent to Rs 904.10 per kg in business turnover of 460 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in October contracts traded higher by Rs 2.60 or 0.28 per cent to Rs 913.50 per kg in 53 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market against restricted supplies from Chandausi led to rise in mentha oil prices in futures trade.
