Ramya, who was a former classmate of K Pratap while studying diploma course, had earlier complained to Chandanagar police accusing the man of marrying another woman after being in love with her, they said.
"She went to the house of Pratap on the morning of November 27 on the pretext of discussing the case with him and suddenly attacked him with a knife, inflicting injuries on his private parts," an Investigating Officer said based on the complaint lodged by Pratap, who works in Hitec city.
Pratap was treated at a hospital here and later discharged.
