Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University VC suspended

SGPC President and Chancellor of the university Avtar Singh Makkar has suspended Dr J S Ahluwalia, SGPC General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhaur said.

Various complaints of irregularities were received against Ahluwalia and Makkar took the decision following a fact finding inquiry by the university trust.

SGPC authorities have also ordered a detailed inquiry on charges against Ahluwalia, he said.

Meanwhile Registrar, Pritpal Singh, has been appointed as the officiating VC of the university and Sukhdev Singh Bhaur has been appointed as Member Secretary of the university trust, SGPC sources said.
