Sri Lankan national drowns in water falls

A 29-year-old Sri Lankan national, who came here with his wife, brothers and parents on a tour, drowned today after he fell into a water falls near Kallatti, about 15 km from here, police said.
Janat Regan, a resident of Konavayal of Chinnaveli in Jaffna, was married to Janani only five days ago.
As they reached the water falls, Regan suddenly slipped and fell in the waters. Attempts by his father and brothers to save him remained futile and Regan drowned.
The body was retrieved by the family with the help of public, police said.
