The OFC cable of BSNL was badly damaged by Public Health Engineering (PHE) department while digging at Mandir Morh area in Roop Nagar belt here today without any intimation to BSNL, General Manager, BSNL, Atul Sharma said.
Because of this, mobile network of BSNL was badly affected as the one of the main switching centre at Bantalab was isolated causing lot of inconvenience to public, press, business and government departments during election period.
GMTD jammu, GM mobile and other senior officers of BSNL monitored the restoration of cable and no official of PHE was present on the spot, he said.
Services affected in Kachi Chawni, Janipur, Bantalab and adjoining areas in Jammu city Akhnoor, Samba, Billawar, RS pura, Rajouri, Poonch and Doda.
